Happy Father's Day and catch-up!!

First of all I want to give a shout out to some pretty special people in my life. First to my dad, thanks for fighting and putting up with me all those years and for being a great example to me in my life! I wouldn't be who I am today without you. Second to my great father-in-law, for whipping my hunk of burning love into shape, and making him into the man he is today. He is becoming more and more like you everyday. And of course, the soon to be daddy of our home Dustin. I just know you will be a amazing dad and I can hardly wait for Archer to meet you! I have a feeling you will be the biggest buddies ever! You are three of the most important men in my life and I'm so grateful for all of you!
We have had a busy and exciting couple of weeks. We have moved into our bigger apartment, Dustin is busy with school and work, I'm trying to get settled in and ready for our little bundle of joy to come, and being a little stay at home wife and for the time incubator. We were also so excited to be able to have family from both sides in town this last week.
We did some pretty fun stuff while people were here. We went to the Riot Zone, the zoo, the drive in, my family threw me a way cute baby shower, (thanks to all who came) this is the only picture I have from the shower its the Novanator cuddling her mom, so precious, Dustin made a sweet trophy for Mario Kart tourniments, we got to watch Dustin's sister Destry and our friend Taylor run in the Teton Dam Marathon which was an awesome accomplishment, and to finish it off Dustin's parents came down for Father's Day weekend! All in all it was a awesome week!

Packing up and moving out!

So I am my mother's daughter after all. It has only taken approximately 20 years for me to realize that I was not adopted or switched at the hospital, (it's a long story) that I have the genes of at least my mom. She is a stresser and a worrier, and I have always told her to be calm and not to worry, things work out. Well those genes have kicked in, because I have been stressing and worrying, and since I have been pregnant, having random crying outbursts about anything you can think of. Moving, insurance, being a mom, money, and much much more. And I find that my mother and I roles have been reversed as she patiently tells me to be calm and that everything will work out. Well like many other time's in my life, she is quite correct. One of the biggest stresses is over! We are moving into the apartment that we have been praying for! So we have been franticly cleaning and packing so that we can move by next Thursday, and in the mean time working and going to school. It has been a crazy week and a half, but it will all be worth it in the end! However we are so sad to be leaving our little love nest. It has been the greatest first apartment ever!

Happy Mother's Day!

First I would love to give a shout out to all those awesome mom's out there, old and young, especially my wonderful mother and mother-in-law! A girl couldn't ask for a better set of mom's!!
So this was my first mother's day as a mom. Yes I am not a mom yet but a mom-to-be still got in free to Bear World so obviously it counts. Dustin and I went with our awesome family Destry, Riley and Hinder to Yellowstone Bear World yesterday. Dustin and I went when we were dating and it was cool, but we really didn't see much the last time we went. But this time the bears were active and roaming getting close to our car, and lets not forget the cute little baby bears. There were wolves which was cool, and let us not leave out mating peacocks as you can see below. And since I actually remembered to take pictures, I have something to post other than my lame attempts to be a creative writer. Look at that cute baby bear! Hahaha

It's a boy!!

We are so excited!! We were so relieved to find out that everything is where it is suppose to and that he is healthy and growing. We both went in thinking that it was going to be a girl so it was a fun suprise, to find out it was a he. We have our name already picked out and everything. I think that Dustin is so excited to have a little boy he can ruff house with in a couple of years!!
He was so wiggly and wouldn't let us get a front facial shot. Being able to see him yawn and move made having a baby so much more really to me and Dustin.
He started holding his arms up like he was flexing it was so cute. The nurse said he was showing off a little, I think that he was showing Dustin how strong he was.

Crazy Days.....

We have had a very interesting few days. Dustin's birthday was so much fun. We spent the day just hanging out together. It was nice to just relax. We then headed over to his sister Destry's house for a delicious dinner (provided by Chiz's) and a awesome party with friends and family.
D'laney got her mission call that day and was able to open it that night, which was so fun and exciting to watch. She is going to the Bulgaria Sofia Mission! She will do great there, but it's so weird that she will be leaving. We are going to miss her. So all in all it was a great day!
Sorry if this next part is too much information, but I woke up the next morning started getting ready and noticed that I was bleeding a little bit, which of course this being my first pregnancy and already being paranoid about everything freaked me out, but I decided to wait and see if it stopped before I panicked for real. But a hour later it still hadn't stopped and I decided that I needed to call the doctor. The nurse told me I was probably fine and I just needed to watch it for a while and take it easy for the day.
Finally Dustin came home and over dinner he says "my jaw feels really tired," but he figured it was just some weird thing that would be gone by morning. However the next morning I woke up to "just so you know I can't close my eye and the whole right side of my face doesn't really move." And so of course as I have mentioned being the paranoid pregnant woman that I am, I freaked out and called the doctor, who informed me that it could be one of two things, Bells Palsy or he had had a minor stroke, and in either case we need to go to the ER. So freaked out but trying to act calm because Dustin says that I freak out too much we drive up to the ER and come to find out that he has Bells Palsy. They don't know the case but they think it is when a nerve on the side of your face is infected causing some paralysis. It lasts 3-6 months, but Dustin is taking some medication so hopefully it won't be that long.
So all in all we are both fine just tired and in my case stressed and a little freaked out. We are really hoping for a nice calm boring week!

Happy Birthday Dustin!!

So normally I don't have anything to write about so I just make a bunch of stuff up and try to make our lives sound oh so excited and glamorous. But today is a special day, because I get to talk about my favorite topic, Dustin. We have been married for just about a year and a half, and it has been the most amazing time in my life. Dustin is the most caring and loving husband ever. He always knows how to make me laugh and smile even if I have had a terrible day. He has one of the most amazing creative minds ever and is always looking for something new to try or do. I know that when our baby comes he will be the most amazing dad to our little girl or boy. He keeps me grounded, sane, and relaxed when I am freaking out and knows how to get a little insane and crazy when he wants to.
I couldn't ask for a better husband in the world! I love you Dustin!! Here is a song that every time I hear, I always tell him is dedicated to him. It's mostly just the chorus that I think about him but it's still a fun song. I like the Glee version better so it's a clip from the show. I always dance around the house to it, and am hoping one day Dustin will just join in :)! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4USug9HQ20o

Boise Weekend!

We have had a crazy yet fun last couple of weeks. To start off we went to Boise for a rad weekend! We had a blast with D'laney, the Wilson's and the Hurst's as we partied the weekend away. To start off we went to a totally awesome concert. There we listened to two local bands, who were good but not the best i have ever heard. Then came The Rouge, Parachute, and Safety Suit. I had only listened to a couple of songs by Safety Suit, who were in my opinion the best, but all of them rocked my socks! I highly recommend any of their songs to anyone to Google or youtube.
After a long night on the town and going to a rockin' concert we did what any hip and cool youngins' would do. We went to Riley's parents house and hit the hay. The next day we headed to downtown Boise. We went to Old Chicago which is a delicious resturaunt if your ever in the area, and then we walked over and checked out the Capitol building were a overly friendly and job loving guard gave us the 411 on everything. He even gave us homework as we left. Now there is a man dedicated to his job. (The outside of the Capital building)
(I think this was the room the house of rep. met in)
After we window shopped, saw the movie Avatar (which is awesome!) and then headed back to have a wicked tournament of ping pong, which turned to sting pong which turned to pirate ping pong. If you don't know what that is use your imagination, it's pretty self explanatory.
Then sadly, we woke up and came back to Rexburg. Thanks again to everyone who made that weekend so much fun! Life since then has gone back to normal. We have done nothing out of the ordinary. Work sleep work sleep etc etc. So life is good for us and we can't complain. We hope everyone is doing well!
(just in case some of you didn't know this is the newest addition to our family and we couldn't be more excited. I am going to have to change my blog address to a 3 instead of 2 :) )
