Bowling and new do!

I love doing new and fun things with Archer because his reaction is just so much fun to watch.  So awhile ago Archer and I went with some of Dustin's sister bowling for the first time.  He loved it!!  He clapped for everyone who bowled and would watch his ball go down the lane slowly and get so excited even if it only knocked one pin over.  It was so much fun to be able to go with him.  He of course got distracted by the arcade games after a bit but even that is like such a treat to be able to play on the games, and just be able to run around.

Another first that we expierienced was a actual clipper cut haircut.  I have never been able to let myself cut his curls.  I would always just trim here and there and never cut too much.  But combing and doing his hair was getting more and more difficult since Archer started HATING getting his hair done.  So for summer I decided that we would just clipper it all off and make it easy and cooler for him.  All I have to say is that my baby no longer looks like a baby.  He is officially a toddler.

Archer is growing so fast and I'm so glad that I get to be here everyday to watch him.  Saying he loves playing with cars would be a understatement, he can count to 10 and say some other numbers, he is getting closer to being able to sing his ABC's and loves to sing and dance to any kind of music.  He has turned into my little farmer and loves trucks, cows, and tractors.  Everything comes in two these days, he has to have two milks, two breakfasts, two snacks.  Maybe it's just a preview of how our 2nd year is going to go.  I'm just glad I get to be there.

Easter

Easter weekend was so much fun this year!!  Archer really got into it this year and had so much fun with all of the activities.  We had like 10 egg hunts, one at my brothers house, and colored eggs.  We almost made it the whole time without spilling the dye, but the last 30 seconds Archer kicked one over.  Oh well it was still so much fun!

Archer is also 20 months old!!  It's crazy how fast time flys and how big my little boy is getting.  He is talking more and more in full sentances and has officially entered the terrible twos and is becoming a pro at throwing temper tantrums.  He is so energetic and keeps me on my toes all day long.  He loves being outside and asks to go "run" everyday.   He is my best little buddy and I love spending everyday with him.  This summer is going to be so much fun with him.

Oh the fun we have!

As the time gets closer for Dustin to go back to school we have been trying to do some fun things. But with the weather being so unpredictable its been a little tricky so we have had to be creative. This is what we came up with.
Archer and I went to my parents farm a couple weeks ago to see the cows and ride on the tractors. Besides the fact that he was super tired he loved it!! He was a little nervous about touching the calfs but he eventually did. He loves animals and trucks, he is boy through and through.

Archer is also 19 months now. He is so full of life and has so much energy. I'm so grateful that I get to spend everyday with him. He is a little copy cat. Everything Dustin and I do he does. He is also starting to form sentances. It is getting easier and easier to understand him which is nice but that also means that he can talk back. He is becoming a pro at temper tantrums and although I hate them he is pretty cute when he throws them...sometimes.
Also our lives have gotten less hairy lately. Yes Dustin shaved his beard. It was the longest it has ever been. As much as I love facial hair, it was getting a little long. Its nice to be able to see his face again.

18 months!

I'm sorry again for the pictures being all at the top, once again it won't let me move them! So to explain each pic, waiting for D'laney, our family picture, Archer helping me make muffins, playing in the snow, wearing D'laney's old dance leotard, making Valentines cookies, fixing the clogged vaccum, and watching toons in his "babies bed".
My baby is starting to no longer be a baby. As glad as I am that Archer is growing and learning new things, it still makes me sad to see him get bigger and bigger. I'm so glad that I get to stay at home and watch him grow and play everyday with him. He is getting so smart! He gets the brains from Dustin and his looks from me. HAHAHA, except that he looks like Dustin so I guess that's a lie. His personality is really starting to form. He loves making noise, whether it be by screaming, which is usually the choice, or bang pots and pans. He is such an amazing eater! I never thought that eating would matter that much to me but I love how he eats pretty much whatever I put in front of him. He loves babies! Anywhere we see one, he just keeps talking about it, he even has a little dog at home that has a diaper and some old jammies on that we wrap up and rock to sleep. He talks to you like he is an adult. He is talking non-stop and using a ton of words. We are starting to be careful with what we say because he will repeat pretty much anything you say. Some of my favorite words are: milt (milk), teet (treat), tit-tot (tick-tock), smooch (mooch). And finally he is my little helper. He loves helping me do laundry and clean and cook and I love having him help me. I love this boy!! We also just got back from a fun vacation to Washington. We did so many fun things which included: basketball games, seeing D'laney!!, playing games, shopping, going to Sky High, and so many more things. I didn't take any pictures because I forgot like always but it was so awesome to be able to spend a whole week with family and make memories together.

O what do you do in the winter time......

O what do you do in the winter time when all the world is not white but freezing? Well here are the things that Archer likes to do.

*He likes to play office. It is amazing to me how much he watches and listens to us. He has to sit at the computer with the music on just like us, and then he will sit there and type and write and add up his math on the calculator. But my favorite is when I hear "O man!" I say that all the time and Archer now says it too. I think it is so cute.

*We watch Tarzan almost everyday.

This is our conversation when it's quiet time and he gets to pick a movie:

Me: Archer, do you want to watch a show?

Archer: NOOOO!

Me: Do you want to watch a toon?

Archer: WAHHAHAH (with a little tantrum)

Me: Do you want to watch Tarzan?

Archer: (with a huge smile, a giggle, and a little dance) Yes yes!!

I don't think he understands quite yet that Tarzan is in fact a toon and a show.

*He helps me in the kitchen. This was so hard for me at first because I really love to cook but I hate not being able to give it my full attention and take my time, but Archer LOVES helping. So I'm trying really hard to let him. Stirring and tasting and playing in flour, he loves but helping with the dishes is his favorite because it usually goes from this..... to this, his second bath for the day. I love this kid so much!! He has so much personality and is really starting to be independent. He is now 17 months and into EVERYTHING! He has hit a growth spurt and now can reach things he used to not be able to like decorations, books, and the computer. He can also open things he used to not be able to like the fridge and dressers, and one of his favorite games is to pull everything out and throw it down the stairs. He loves football, much to Dustin's relief and he is constantly talking and saying more and more words, and kicking and throwing balls. He love phones and buttons and loves to change the channels on the TV or turn it off more than he likes to watch it (unless it's Tarzan). He is growing too fast, but at the same time I am so glad that he is learning and doing new things. Our life without him would for sure be pretty boring!

I apologize for the format and the pictures being out of order my computer would not let me move them at all!

Chirtmas 2011

During the week before Christmas we packed as many Christmasy things we could do. Dustins family came to town for the weekend and we did so many fun things, one which was build Gingerbread houses. I think they turned out pretty good. Archer and I also attempted to make sugar cookies. They didn't turn out but Archer had a blast.Christmas this year was so much fun! We started it off by playing games and eating good food with our friends and family Christmas Eve. It is so nice to get together with the Hursts and Wilsons because our kids play so well together we don't really need to worry about them and we can just enjoy ourselves. We then started out Christmas day with 9 o'clock church which was filled with beautiful music and the spirit. It helped us remember all day what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. We then headed home and dove into gifts. Archer was so much fun to watch this year. H would get super excited about one gift and not care about the others. We then headed to my parents house in the afternoon and spent it eating, playing, and enjoying each others company. It was such a wonderful day and went by way to quickly. I'm so glad to have the family and friends that I have that really make this time of year so wonderful! ( apologize for the lack of explination to my pictures but our keyboard is acting up and we can't figure out how to undo whatever Archer pushed.)

Where has December gone?

(How our tree would look if Archer was in charge)

I love the holiday's! They are such a beautiful time of year, filled with family, friends, and love. I was so excited for Christmas this year, I made a list like in March of all the things I was going to do, but the month has just flown by and we have not done all the things that I wanted to do. But as I sat around a cried ( not literally) about how I'm not going to get to do all the things on my list, I realized that I have spent everyday with Archer and Dustin, and family is one of the most important things to me and I am so grateful that I have them in my life especially at this time of year. But we have really been able to do some really fun things this month. My sister celebrated her birthday on the 3rd, and instead of making the day all about her which people normally do, she had a birthday party for the kids. We played musical chairs, pin the star on the tree and made candy trains and houses. It was so much fun. I love my sister she is such a wonderful person and great example to me and my family! Love you Haywer!!! A couple Saturday's ago Archer and I went to Christmas at Hemming Village, where we got to sit on Santa's lap and go on a sleigh ride. Archer loved it all except for Santa he was a bit freaked. Also this month my baby is now 16 months. I cannot believe it! The time has flown by so fast, and I have loved every second of it. (maybe not the seconds at 2 o'clock in the morning as much) He is such a wonderful little boy. Things that he is doing now is talking up a storm, saying words like mom, dad, blue, yellow, purple, shoes, hot, thank you, please, help me, and so many more. He is walking and almost running and throwing and catching and kicking balls. Any light he sees he goes "Oooooooo", and loves making crazy faces and making you make one too. He is like Dustin in every way, but every once in a while he does something that is totally me. He has crazy curls that go everywhere and the cutest little smile that warms you from the inside out. If I knew that everyone of my kids would be like Archer I would have 50.
